We’re very pleased to announce that Unwritten has been named the regions ‘best creative business’ at the North East Entrepreneur (WIN) Awards.
The awards, which took place at The Boiler Shop in Newcastle at the end of 2016, are designed to celebrate the achievements of women in business across the North East.
Unwritten, which was founded by our co-directors Lisa Eaton and Amy Jackson, was recognised by the award judges for, ‘massive growth potential’, for ‘standing out in a crowded marketplace’ and, most significantly for, ‘creating an impressive and unique product’, in reference to our ‘buyer persona’ insight specialism.
As well as demographics, Unwritten Buyer Personas outline your buyers’ motivations, triggers and assumptions, enabling you to better tailor your messaging to increasingly informed customers. This research is undertaken before creative work begins, allowing us to deliver a more effective and targeted campaign.
Now officially a scale-up business, we enjoyed a strong period of growth in our first three years of trading and secured a number of high calibre clients that has led to the development of strategic, creative and digital work for organisations such as VisitEngland, North Tyneside Council, Bel Valves and NewcastleGateshead Initiative.
Recently, we were commisioned to create a large format exhibition stand for Sage. Project success led on to the design and build of their on-screen presentations, as well as the design of the high-profile Sage keynote speaker stage for the UK Business Show at the end of 2016. The event hosted speakers such as Dragons’ Den retail guru, Touker Suleyman, and former Dragon and founder of Pallet-Ex, Hillary Devey.
As a result of our growth, we’ve strengthened our team and now employ a workforce of ten with plans to create a further two jobs in the coming months.
Amy Jackson, director of Unwritten, said: “We are incredibly proud to have been named the North East’s best creative business. It is recognition of the importance we have put on developing an innovative approach to marketing that delivers tangible results for our clients.”
Nickie Gott, WIN Awards judge, said: “Unwritten stood out as an exciting and growing business that has incredible potential based on its unique and fresh approach to delivering strategic brand & digital support for its clients. The Best Creative Business is a hotly-contested category and Amy, Lisa and their team should be immensely proud to have won this award.”
